Hillary Has More to Hide

By Jack Kananian

During the most recent debate in New Hampshire, a questioner asked former Secretary Clinton to release the transcripts from her Wall Street speeches. At the time she said she'd look into it, but has since backed off this request. This is important in her primary race, as Senator Sanders has made a point that resonates with the public. He claims what's good for Wall Street is bad for ordinary Americans.
While she denies the contributions will influence her decisions as president, it's hard to believe that Wall Street donors to her campaign aren't going to expect anything in return. She has made the same argument previously about rich donors giving money to Super PACs, and the harm it does our democracy. So long as she stonewalls releasing the transcripts, many in the public will not trust her.  Releasing the transcripts only makes sense unless she has something to hide.
